About Our Products
Are your magazines originals?
Yes. Every item sold by Vintage Top Shelf is an original vintage printed publication from its era. We do not sell reproductions, facsimiles, or reprints unless clearly and specifically stated in the listing. No digital content, downloads, or access codes are included with any purchase.
Are the magazines pre-owned?
Yes. All our products are pre-owned vintage magazines. Because of their age, condition varies from item to item. Each listing includes photographs of the actual item and a condition grade to help you assess what to expect before buying.
How do I know the condition of an item?
Every listing includes photographs of the specific item being sold and a condition grade from our Condition Grading Guide (Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, or Poor). Any significant defects are described in the listing. If you would like more detail or additional photographs before purchasing, please contact us.
Are inserts, posters, or pull-outs included?
Inserts, posters, pull-outs, and other supplements are included only where specifically stated in the listing. If completeness is not mentioned, please assume the item is the magazine itself only, without supplements. Contact us before purchasing if you need to confirm this.
Can I request a specific magazine or issue?
You are welcome to contact us about specific titles or issues. We cannot guarantee availability, but we will let you know if the item becomes available in our stock.
Are items cleaned or restored?
Generally no. We do not restore items in order to preserve their original character and condition. Any cleaning or conservation work will be disclosed in the listing.
Age Restriction
Why do I need to confirm my age before browsing?
All products sold by Vintage Top Shelf contain adult material and are restricted to customers aged 18 or over. We are required to verify that visitors are adults before showing adult catalogue content. The age confirmation step must be completed at the website entrance before any product pages or images are accessible.
What happens if you cannot verify my age?
If we have reasonable grounds to believe a purchaser may be under 18, or if satisfactory age confirmation cannot be obtained, we may place an order on hold, refuse it, or cancel it. If an order is cancelled before dispatch for this reason, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.
Ordering and Payment
How do I place an order?
Browse the catalogue, add items to your basket, and proceed to checkout. You will be able to review and correct your order before confirming. A binding contract is formed when we send you an order acceptance confirmation by email.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment methods available are shown at checkout. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider’s PCI DSS-compliant hosted checkout. Vintage Top Shelf does not store, see, or handle your card details.
What will appear on my bank or card statement?
Your statement will show a reference of VINTAGE TOP SHELF or VTS GLASGOW. If you do not recognise a payment or have a query about a charge, please contact us at info@vintagetopshelf.co.uk before raising a dispute with your bank or card provider.
Is VAT charged on orders?
No. Vintage Top Shelf is not currently VAT registered. No VAT is charged on any orders. All prices are shown in GBP (£) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes.
Shipping and Delivery
Is the packaging discreet?
Yes. All orders are shipped in plain, unbranded outer packaging with no reference to adult content on the exterior. The return address on the label is neutral. Delivery information is the only thing shown on the outside of the parcel.
How quickly are orders dispatched?
Orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 working days of payment confirmation. Orders placed on weekends or UK public holidays are processed the next working day. You will receive a dispatch notification by email when your order is sent.
How long will delivery take?
Estimated delivery times are 2–5 working days for UK orders, 5–10 working days for Europe, and 7–21 working days for international destinations. All orders are delivered within 30 days of the order date unless otherwise agreed. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on postal services.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, subject to postal restrictions and the laws of the destination country. Customers outside the UK are responsible for ensuring that importing adult printed material is lawful in their jurisdiction and for paying any applicable customs duties or import charges.
My order has not arrived — what should I do?
For UK orders, please allow up to 10 working days before reporting a non-delivery. For international orders, please allow 30 calendar days. If your order has still not arrived, contact us at info@vintagetopshelf.co.uk with your order number and we will investigate with the carrier.
Returns and Refunds
Can I return a magazine if I change my mind?
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, individual physical magazines and periodicals may fall within a statutory exception that means the standard 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right does not automatically apply. We will inform you at the point of sale whether this exception applies to a particular item. Because of this, please review listing photographs and condition descriptions carefully before purchasing. What if my item arrives damaged or is not as described?
Please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@vintagetopshelf.co.uk with your order number and photographs clearly showing the issue. Faulty, damaged, or misdescribed goods have full protection under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We will resolve the matter with a replacement (where available) or a full refund, and we will cover the cost of return postage.
What if the wrong item was sent?
If we send the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange return postage at our cost and either dispatch the correct item (if available) or provide a full refund.
How long does a refund take?
Once we receive a returned item and confirm its condition, we will process your refund within 14 calendar days. Refunds are made to the original payment method.
Privacy and Cookies
What personal data do you collect?
We collect the information needed to process your order (name, address, email, payment confirmation) and standard website technical data. We do not store card details. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

No. Joining the Rewards Club does not require you to subscribe to marketing emails. You can participate in the scheme without receiving any marketing communications.
